Florissante, The Mansion

I had the pleasure of staying at this beautiful mansion for a wedding. The hosts of the mansion work hard to insure a very pleasant experience. The rooms are beautifully decorated and the bed comfy. Breakfast is served in the morning and it did not disappoint! Yum! They also did the floral arrangements for the wedding and they were gorgeous! Can’t wait to go back and visit around the holidays when it is fully decorated. I highly recommend this property for a special event or a weekend stay!

Beautiful historic mansion with charming owners Stuart and Jimmy. So much history here. Great place to get away and relax.

I have stayed at the Florissante twice now. The second visit was a last minute emergency and Stuart and Jimmy were beyond accommodating, they really are amazing. Jimmy is a fantastic host, is friendly and ready for a fun conversation. The breakfast was also delicious. Do not pass this place up if you ever find yourself in Lyons Falls.

This is a great location and an awesome place to stay. The grounds are well taken care of and very beautiful. The hosts, Jimmy and Stewart, are great and very accommodating. We have had many family gatherings here over the years.

We stayed for two weekends in June and loved every second of it! Jimmy and Stuart are amazing hosts and their home is beautiful! We felt like we were at home with close friends and we’re wowed by the fantastic breakfasts and evenings on the porch. The home is appointed with beautiful antiques and art! The beds are comfortable and we slept so well! We will be back for years to come! Oh, they have beautiful birds and there is so much wildlife to enjoy! Thank you, Jimmy and Stuart! All the best, R&M

This is a gem and I feel lucky to have found this B&B. The mansion itself is the main attraction -- this insanely opulent, gorgeous 19th century building with original vaulted ceilings, intricate woodwork everywhere, enormous fireplace mantels, and period furniture. The next best thing after the building itself are the proprietors, Stuart and Jimmy, who put together a wonderful breakfast, are completely unobtrusive (you feel like you have the place to yourself), and very flexible and reasonable with accommodations like late checkout when I had a sick child who needed to just sleep all day. Really loved the stay here and plan to come back the next time we're in the area.

Best bed and breakfast hands down!! From a great greeting, to helping us get our stuff inside, amazing conversations, taking care of our muddy clean up adventure, to an amazing filling homemade breakfast!! Truely makes you feel at home! The property outside is absolutely breath taking and wonderful to sit and enjoy!!

I attended a Bridal Shower, and it was beautiful! The Shower was on the front porch, which was very spacious! The interior was gorgeous with the dark wood and the molding details. I love that they kept the integrity of the period, in which it was built. I highly recommend it, both as a venue and a Bed and Breakfast.
